Free bets and bonus offers when you are trying to stop

A free bet is not free. It is an offer built to bring you back, and it often arrives on the nights you are weakest. If you are trying to stop, you do not owe it a look.

What the offers are doing

They tell you that you are missing out, that the clock is running and that a risk-free bet costs nothing. If the offer makes the deposit feel smaller, it is working as intended. The easiest way to win is not to open it.

Turn them off tonight

  1. Unsubscribe from the emails. Use the link at the bottom of each one, then mark the rest as spam.
  2. Turn off push notifications for the betting apps, or delete the apps.
  3. Opt out of texts. Reply STOP to the number that sends them.
  4. Ask the book to stop marketing to you. Most have a setting or a support chat for it. Self exclusion also stops marketing: here is how to do it in one night.

When an offer lands anyway

Do not open it. Wait thirty minutes. The offer will be gone or you will care less. Text one person if it is a hard night.

Free. No account. Takes two questions.
